Astrophysicist Adam Frank’s new book mixes cosmology with humanity. How does our understanding of the universe and cosmic time inform our daily lives? Especially if time is an illusion?

The “rebels” who fight the Big Bang theory are mostly attempting to grapple with the concept of time. They are philosophers as much as cosmologists, unsatisfied with the Big Bang, unimpressed with string theory and unconvinced of the multiverse. Julian Barbour, British physicist, author, and major proponent of the idea of timeless physics, is one of those rebels–so thoroughly a rebel that he has spurned the world of academics.

Julian Barbour’s solution to the problem of time in physics and cosmology is as simply stated as it is radical: there is no such thing as time.

“If you try to get your hands on time, it’s always slipping through your fingers,” says Barbour. “People are sure time is there…

With my sincere thanks to you good folk who continue to support this site with your likes and comments. Five more elements tonight, and we’re halfway through the series. By the time we are done, you will be able to choose your crystals with confidence. Please enjoy.

In the body, Fluorine is a trace mineral.

Aluminium is a trace mineral.

Silicon is also a trace mineral.

A couple of links for quick reference:

Part four will follow on soon. Namaste from Amras.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER REGARDING CRYSTAL THERAPY:

Needless it should be to say, but said it must be: Nothing written on this website should be considered before professional medical advice in the case of any medical condition whatsoever. And, only an idiot, or a complete curmudgeon would believe otherwise!

The human desire to see only one phase of the truth which we happen to perceive, and to develop and elevate it into a perfect logical system, is one reason why our philosophy is bound to grow stranger to life. He who talks about truth injures it thereby; he who tries to prove it thereby maims and distorts it; he who gives it a label and a school of thought kills it; and he who declares himself a believer buries it.

Lin Yutang, Buddhist philosopher.

Namaste, the words above are dedicated to Alex, a young philosophy student, and a close friend of the family. Alex asks lots of erudite questions.

Now, I have had a few minor health issues keep me from posting for a couple of days. Probably a spot of the space weather blues, so my posts are a little sporadic. I continue to read my…

Namaste, I hope you are enjoying the artworks that crown these posts. Tonight’s offering is called “Through A Glass – Brightly”.

So, for students of crystal based metaphysics, here are five more life-giving elements found in the body, along with a few of the readily available crystals that house them.

Chlorine is a trace mineral.

We ponder the many ways that crystals come into being and gain metaphysical insights that enhance our therapeutic intuition.

The purpose of this series is to help the student of crystal therapy to appreciate the correspondences that exist between crystals, the human body, and the atomic elements called minerals. Therapy is a three-way process that takes place between the crystals and the client, with the therapist acting as an energetic bridge. The therapist furthermore must be attuned to their highest and most loving spiritual component.

According to *Michael Geinger, crystal therapy can be applied as a three-in-one process:

Igneous crystals are considered to be good for primary healing, for example drawing out pain.

Sedimentary crystals are considered to be useful when people are undergoing times of growth.

Metamorphic crystals are considered to be useful for people who are undergoing times of deep inner change.

The types igneous, sedimentary, and…

I sincerely hope that you enjoy this coming series for crystal therapists. It has taken seven years to get this far, and I consider it my magnum opus on the subject. If those of you who are brighter than me find any little mistakes, then please, please forgive me – I promise to do better next time. Actually, I’ve checked and rechecked my info so many times I’m practically beyond caring right now. Tonight’s post, “CRYSTAL MINERALS AND THE BODY” is the first of a six parter, where we identify the crystal minerals and explain how their energetic signatures may be used with intent to influence their counterparts in the human body.

Minerals have three functions in the body:

Electrolytes.

Builders.

Reactors.

Electrolytes are the conductors of electrical impulses. They maintain heart rate, nerves, muscle impulses, and acid balance.

Builders make bones and teeth.

Reactors regulate cell-life.

The electrolytes are…
